The meditation app that measures whether it worked.

You mark where you are, sit, then mark again. The distance between the two points is the result.

Resona's check-out screen. A dashed line runs across the field from where the session started to where it ended, above the words: You settled. Plus 63 per cent.

Fifteen programmes, every one synthesised while you listen rather than played back.

No account, no sign-in, no e-mail. Your history lives on your iPhone.

A free tier that is a complete app, not a demo of one.

Three seconds in, three seconds out

THE MEASUREMENT

Where you put the point is the answer

Drag a point on a field. Tension runs across it, energy runs up it. No mood list, no words to find. Afterwards you drag it again, and the dashed line between the two is the only honest evidence any of this worked.

THE RAMP

The frequency moves while you listen

Every session is generated on the device, so the beat can start near where your check-in put you and travel to where your goal needs it. A fixed tone asks you to make the whole journey yourself.

THE PROFILE

It learns which band works on you

Entrainment does not land the same way on two people. Resona keeps every pair of readings and names the band that moves you most, and the one that does nothing. It says nothing at all below three measured sessions, and it names a band that made things worse rather than quietly dropping it.

The profile screen, typeset as a report: a two week chart of minutes a day and a row per band showing the mean shift each produced.

63%

of the way to where that session was aiming

One real check-out, from the screenshot at the top of this page. Not an average, not a promise, and not a number this app can produce without you moving the point yourself.

Five bands, and the app tells you which is yours

Every programme is built on one of them, and the colour follows it everywhere: the field, the session rings, the star it leaves on the chart.

0.5-4 Hz

Delta

Deep rest. Descents that walk down to 1 Hz and stay there. This is the sleep end.

4-8 Hz

Theta

Letting go. Where the grip loosens. Most of the release programmes end here.

8-12 Hz

Alpha

Settling. The default landing place for a wound-up afternoon.

12-30 Hz

Beta

Clear head. Awake and ordered, for work that needs a straight line.

30-50 Hz

Gamma

Sharp focus. The 40 Hz end, for the hour you actually have to concentrate.

A chart, not a feed

Every finished session anywhere can leave one point carrying a single word. Points gather under the word they share, so you can see what everyone reached for. No names, no feed, nothing to scroll.

Sample night

A sample night: 22 sits, nine words. Drag it, scroll to zoom, tap a word.

The same layout code runs in both. On the phone it is where your own sessions land; here it is a sample so that nothing on this page pretends to be a person who is not there.

One word from a fixed sixty. No free text anywhere, which is why the chart needs no moderation queue.

You can hold somebody else's point, which is silent, or send one of these eight words through it. They can answer once, from the same eight. Nothing on this chart is typed by anyone.

Questions

Do I need headphones?

For binaural beats, yes. A binaural beat is the difference between two slightly different tones, one in each ear, so it only exists when each ear hears its own. Resona also offers isochronic and monaural programmes, which are single pulsed tones, and those work on a speaker.

What are binaural beats?

Two steady tones a few hertz apart, one per ear. What you hear is a third, slower pulse at the difference between them: play 200 Hz and 208 Hz and you hear an 8 Hz beat. Resona synthesises both tones live rather than playing a file, which is what lets the beat frequency move while you listen.

Is Resona a medical product?

No. Resona is a wellness app for relaxation and focus. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you live with epilepsy or a seizure disorder, talk to your doctor before using any brainwave entrainment audio.

Does it work without a connection?

Everything except the shared chart. The audio is generated on your iPhone, there is nothing to download, and every session and reading is stored on the device. With no connection the chart shows your own constellation and says plainly that the shared sky is not reachable.

Can people message each other?

Not in any way you could type. You can hold somebody's point, or send one of eight fixed phrases through it, and they can answer once from the same eight. There is no free text, no thread, no profile and no name on either side. Every message that can exist on this chart is one we wrote, which is why none of it needs a moderation queue.

What leaves my iPhone?

Only a star, and only if you place one: one word from a fixed list of sixty, the length of the session, the band, and how far you moved. If you send somebody one of the eight words, that goes too. No name, no account, no e-mail address. Find Your Note analyses your hum on the device and never records or uploads any audio.

Which iPhone do I need?

Any iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Resona is a native app of a few megabytes and there is nothing to download inside it, because every session is synthesised rather than streamed.

Find out whether it worked.

The free tier includes both check-ins, which is the part that answers the question.
